NSD2 is a histone methyltransferase which specifically dimethylates nucleosomal histone H3 at Lys-36 (H3K36me2) . Also monomethylates nucleosomal histone H3 at Lys-36 (H3K36me) in vitro . Does not trimethylate nucleosomal histone H3 at Lys-36 (H3K36me3).
