Normales Eselserum (Normal donkey serum) kann zur Blockierung unspezifischer konservierter Sequenzen und/oder Fc-Rezeptorbindungen verwendet werden. 
In der Regel wird für die Blockierung ein Serum verwendet, das von einer anderen Spezies stammt als die Spezies, in der der 
Primärantikörper gezüchtet wurde. Häufig stammt das Blockierungsserum von der Spezies, in der der sekundäre Antikörper gezüchtet wurde.

Bei der Auswahl des Serums ist die Herkunft ein wichtiger Faktor, der auch die Rückverfolgbarkeit des Serums unterstreicht. Durch unser System der vertikalen Integration können wir uns der Herkunft und Rückverfolgbarkeit unseres Serums sicher sein. Das Serum wird in Übereinstimmung mit den europäischen Vorschriften importiert und behandelt. Es wird 30 Minuten lang bei 56°C hitzebehandelt.​

Normal donkey serum can be used for blocking non-specific conserved sequence and/or Fc receptor binding. Typically, the serum used for blocking is from a different species than the species in which the primary antibody was raised. Often the blocking serum is from the species in which the secondary antibody was raised.

When researchers choose their serum, an important factor that should be taken into con-sideration is the source, which also emphasises the traceability of the serum. Our system of vertical integration allows us to be certain of the origin and traceability of our serum. The serum is imported and treated in agreement with the European regulations. It is heat treated at 56°C for 30 minutes.
