Mifobate (SR-202) is a potent and specific antagonist of PPARgamma. Mifobate selectively inhibits Thiazolidinedione (TZD)-induced PPARgamma transcriptional activity with IC50 of 140 µM. Mifobate shows antiobesity and antidiabetic effects.
