Synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within aa50-150 from human PPARG .
Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARg) is a member of the ligand-activated nuclear receptor superfamily and functions as a transcriptional activator (1). PPARg is preferentially expressed in adipocytes as well as in vascular smooth muscle cells and macrophage (2). Besides its role in mediating adipogenesis and lipid metabolism (2), PPARg also modulates insulin sensitivity, cell proliferation and inflammation (3). PPARgamma transcriptional activity is inhibited by MAP kinase phosphorylation of PPARgamma at Ser84 (4,5). Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000 Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 1:50-1:200 Immunofluorescence: 1:50-1:200 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
