IL13RA2, also known as interleukin-13 receptor subunit alpha-2, is a membrane bound protein that in humans is encoded by the IL13RA2 gene. It is able to regulate the effects of both IL13 and IL14, despite the fact it is unable to bind directly to the latter. Also, this protein plays an important role in the Th2-polarized immune responses characteristic of a variety of pathologies, including parasitic infection and allergic asthma. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa27-343 from human IL13RA2, fused to hIgG-His-Tag at C-terminal, expressed in insect cell.
