WiDr cells are established from a 78 year old female with colon adenocarcinoma. The cells are negative for colon antigen 3 expression and positive for keratin by immunoperoxidase staining. WiDr cells expressed p53 antigen. Growth of WiDR cells is inhibited by tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-alpha). Inhibitors of dihydrofolate reductase are highly cytotoxic to WiDR cells. Quality Control: Western Blot analyzed by both GAPDH and Beta tubulin antibody Preparation Before Usage: Heat lysate to 95C for 5 minutes and rapidly cool before use. Storage and Stability: Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
