Recombinant protein corresponding to aa21-167 from human PDCD1 purified from E. coli.
PDCD1 is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein and member of the Ig superfamily, which acts as a co-stimulatory molecule and negative regulator of T-cell activation. PDCD1 is an immunoinhibitory receptor which interacts with its ligands CD274 (PD-L1) and CD273 (PD-L2) to inhibit the activation and proliferation of T and B cells. PDCD1 is associated with regulating peripheral tolerance of T cells and preventing autoimmunity and autoimmune diseases, including type I diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000. Detects a band of ~32-36kD in 293T and U937 cell lysates. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: FO myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
