Technical Information

VectaMount Express Mounting Medium is a non-aqueous clearing and mounting medium enabling the rapid mounting of cell and tissue specimens, without the need for slide handling through an ethanol dehydration series and xylene clearing prior to coverslipping. VectaMount Express Mounting Medium preserves the color and intensity of preparations stained with enzyme substrates, such as DAB and BCIP/NBT, as well as our proprietary substrates Vector® NovaRED™ , Vector VIP, Vector SG, ImmPACT® DAB, ImmPACT DAB EqV, ImmPACT NovaRED, ImmPACT VIP, ImmPACT SG, Vector Red, ImmPACT Vector Red, and Vector Blue, for at least 18 months at room temperature. With a refractive index (1.49) closely matching that of the slide and tissue specimen, this mounting medium results in high-quality imaging free of distortion or artifact.
