Synthetic phosphopeptide derived from human Akt around the phosphorylation site of Serine 124.
Conjugation:
Unconjugated
Alternative Names:
RAC-alpha serine/threonine-protein kinase, Protein kinase B, PKB, Protein kinase B alpha, PKB alpha, Proto-oncogene c-Akt, RAC-PK-alpha, AKT1, PKB, RAC, PKBalpha, RAC-beta serine/threonine-protein kinase, Protein kinase Akt-2, Protein kinase B beta, PKB
Akt, also referred to as PKB or Rac, plays a critical role in controlling cell survival and apoptosis. This protein kinase is activated by insulin and various growth and survival factors to function in a wortmannin-sensitive pathway involving PI3 kinase.
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Form:
Rabbit IgG, 1mg/ml in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.2.
Application Dilute:
WB: 1:500~1:1000 IF: 1:50~200
Application Notes:
Akt (Phospho-Ser124) polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of Akt protein only when phosphorylated at Ser124.
