The rapid photobleaching of fluorochrome-labeled cell probes has always been an obstacle to the qualitative and quantitative assessment of immnunofluorescent assays. ImmunoSelect® Antifading Mounting Medium w/o Hardener is designed for fluorescence microscopy applications and combines strong initial fluorescence with dramatic reduction of photobleaching over time. Unlike some media, ImmunoSelect® Antifading Mounting Medium does not exhibit autofluorescence at any common wavelength.
ImmunoSelect® Antifading Mounting Medium w/o Hardener is an aqueous mounting medium that contains no hardener and remains a viscous liquid. One drop of the medium is sufficient to mount cellular material onto the slide. When a coverslip is applied, the medium will spread over the entire section. Seal the coverslip to the slide with clear nail polish. If mounted slides are stored at 4°C in the dark, fluorescence will persist for many weeks.
ImmunoSelect® Antifading Mounting Medium is ready to use and available with or without DNA Fluorescent Dyes (DAPI or PI (propidium iodide)).
Immunoselect Antifading Mounting Medium is tested for several fluorescence dyes:
• Fluorescein derivatives, eg. FITC
• Rhodamine derivatives, eg. Rhodamin Red-X, TRITC, Texas Red
• All common fluorescent dyes, eg. Alexa Fluor dyes, DyLight dyes, Cyanine dyes
• Phycobilliproteins, eg. PE
• DAPI
• Hoechst 33358 and 3334
• Propidium Iodide
Storage:
2-8°C
