Washed whole erythrocytes were prepared from fresh blood and used for intravenous immunization. Freunds complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.

Application Notes:
Precipitation assays. Haemolytic titre, at which 50% lysis occurs following mixing of equal volumes of antiserum, guinea pig complement (at a 1:60 dilution) and 2% RBC, not less than 1:500 when tested with bovine erythrocytes.
